John Francis Petelinsek

Ft. Myers - John Francis Petelinsek passed away on April 3, 2025, in Ft. Myers, Florida, at the age of 88.

He was born on April 17, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Mary (Wdowiak) and Frank Petelinsek, Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary and Genevieve, and spouses Judith and Patty Ann. He is survived by his loving wife Pam, brother Frank and sisters Virginia and Catherine. Also by his children Alan(Lisa), Dale(Kathy), Jayne(Mike) and Amy(Mike), grandchildren Leah(Nathan), Anna(Jack), Jacob(Christina), Mitch(Jody), Cailey(Ian), Ethan, Elizabeth(Mariah), Megan(Henri), Sam, Sarah(Will), great grandchildren, Adeline, Lenore, Ames.

John was a Korean War era veteran of the United States Army, a Boy Scout leader, a member of the Moose fraternity, an active member of the Catholic Church, and an entrepreneur. In 1976, John started Power Test, LLC, a manufacturing company that builds and distributes dynamometers globally, John was a driver and a leader in everything he did.

John had a strong faith in the Catholic Church and wore his principles on his sleeve. He generously donated to both the church and to many organizations with advice, time and money. If a neighbor was in need of help, he was always there to give a helping hand. He loved his family and passed on many of his core values. He was a member of American's greatest generation and will have many friends in heaven.

A private service will be held at a later date.
