John A. Polyak passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, at the age of 68.
Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Rosemarie “Pinky” (Moore) and George Polyak, John was a lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County and was a 1973 graduate of Pennsbury High School.
He is comically remembered as the “Chip Man,” but he always had fun recalling stories from when he was a car salesman in his 20’s. John was a self-employed snack food distributor and loved driving around in his Charles Chips truck until his retirement.
John was a WWII and general US History lover, and enjoyed watching shows like This Old House, Extreme Makeover, How It Was Made, and anything on the History and Discovery channels.
He was an avid bowler at Penndel Lanes, longtime softball coach and umpire with Levittown Continental Little League, and provided support to the Bristol Twp. Force and Pennsbury Pirates/Panthers travel softball teams. John is responsible for creating some unforgettable memories for both daughters at State and National Tournaments. While John loved coaching softball, he was just as supportive as a volleyball and cheer dad and continued that support on the sidelines with his grandsons.
John also loved spontaneous trips to anywhere. Wednesday nights on the Seaside boardwalk for pizza and fireworks, skiing at Jack Frost and Big Boulder, oh those Wildwoods days, and getting cheese omelets at his favorite diner.
Beloved husband of 39 years to Helene E. (Bennett). Devoted father of Bernadette McGlynn-Polyak, and Maria Temme (William). Cherished Pop Pop to Carter McGlynn and Jackson Temme.
John is the dear brother of the late George Polyak. Survived by his three sisters, Patricia Crusco (Francis), Marie Sheenan (Joseph), and Mary Jo LeTourneau, and will be sadly missed by 23 nieces and nephews and countless friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, April 10, 2023, at The BURNS FUNERAL HOME (1514 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown PA 19057) from 6:00PM-8:00PM, followed by his Memorial Service.

I often think of you, along with Georgie, and all the kids from Nickelhill Lane. We sure had fun growing up, sometimes even getting into a bit of trouble. I always say I'm going to get a reunion party together.....if we ever do, you and your brother will be there....in our hearts.
