John James Quinn Jr.

John James Quinn Jr. passed peacefully after a long battle with Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) surrounded by his wife and daughters on February 16, 2023. He was the loving husband of Virginia T. (Linnehan) Quinn and a devoted Dad to his four daughters: Tara M. Quinn of Brooklyn, CT, Melissa G. Tordiglione and her husband Dante A. Tordiglione of Norwell, MA, Kayla C. Quinn of Boston, MA, and Alicia M. Quinn of Weymouth, MA, and an adoring Papa to his five cherished grandchildren: Dante Jr., Liam, Ava, Greta, and Cora. He was the beloved son of the late John and Lorraine (Pallotta) Quinn of Wollaston, MA. He also leaves behind his four siblings and his six remaining Linnehan sister in laws previously of Milton, MA. His extended family includes hundreds of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who filled his life with meaningful memories.

Jay was born and raised in Wollaston, MA and he spent summers in Scituate, MA. His enduring love for family, and his passion for the ocean originated at Peggotty Beach where he loved mossing and rowing his dory. Jay graduated from North Quincy High School and continued his education obtaining two bachelor's degrees, one from Suffolk University and one from Northeastern University.

Jay was an honest man who was a constant presence in the lives of his family members. He was a gentle giant who gave the biggest hugs and was known for the strength of his handshake. He valued integrity, hard work, kindness, and respect, demonstrating these qualities in his everyday life. He was thoughtful, generous, and always available, placing others' needs above his own.

Jay will be missed by all of his family and friends and his memory will live on in all of our hearts. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
