Family of Johnny Rasmussen
I grew up several doors from John on Harrison Street in Council Bluffs, Iowa back in the fifties. We played together at least once a week, in each other's basements, outside, etc. I had been wondering about him, checking the Facebook pages for him over the last year, hoping to connect. I just heard through our Council Bluffs connections that he had passed, and it makes me very sad to know I didn't get with him prior to this. Please know that I have many fond memories of him, and his family from our neighborhood days...bless his family.

Dear De',Emily,Matt,and A.J.
Words cannot express the pain we feel for all of you at this most devastating time. John was family to all of us, and it is a tough one to realize that he is gone. We find some comfort in knowing that Gil was there to welcome John into heaven handing John a new putter! Cameron and I are pushing it across the country to make it to the funeral, not only for the family, but for JR too. He was deeply loved by our family. The memories of hockey trips,Xmas's at our house, boating, and his friendship will always be in our hearts. We love you guys! Nancee, Cam & Dana, Ali and Tim Miller.

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of John, my prayers and thought's are with his family and friends.

I only met John one time last year at a Bear Graphics company function. He and I randomly sat at the same table for dinner that night and I was drawn to him immediately. He shared stories of his years in the business and had us all laughing the whole time. Clearly he was a character who seemed to have a carefree attitude and didn't to take himself or life too seriously.

I'm very sad to hear of his passing and sorry I didn't have the opportunity to get to know him better.
