John Riley Obituary

John Riley, 91, of Harrisonburg passed away on January 16, 2015 at his home.

He was born in New Jersey, on August 29, 1923 to the late Lawrence and Josephine Brimecombe Riley.

John served in WWII as a gunner with the 143rd Antiaircraft artillery gun battalion. He moved from New Jersey to work as a supervisor with Dunham Bush with his wife and two children.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, as well as an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. Riley on August 26, 2012.

He is survived by a son, Thomas Riley; daughter, Deborah Linares; three grandchildren, John D. Paulson, Corrine Ballinger and Brittany Riley; two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Gia Ballinger; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dan & Larry; sisters, Anna, Agnes and Mary.

There will be no services.
