Hard to believe it has been three years. I miss our times together and think of you every time I hear a blues tune or when I play the blues. You were one of the best blues drummers I had the pleasure to play with. We had a lot of fun with Sunday Morning Blues. I always remember the work you did on my '74 Ford van the "Blue Magoo" . I visit you now and then when I go to my parents grave. Miss you Buddy - RIP.

I have many fond memories of John. We played music together in the 1970's and 80' and then reconnected again musically in the 2010's with Blue Vue. He was a great blues drummer. Such a great feel and joy to play with. The band fell apart after he got sick. He was the glue that held it all together. In between we spent a lot of time together as he worked on many of the vehicles he fixed. Our get together's to listen to WZLX's Sunday Morning Blues with Alan Carter were extra special. He was a true friend and will always be in my heart and mind. I have several recordings of us that I do give to friends. RIP my good friend. Regards, Jeff

Donna and Family,
My heart goes out to all of you. Loosing a loved one is so very hard and hurts in so many ways. Think of all the great times you all have shared and remember the love of all those moments and the blessing of having John in all of your lives. God has brought him home and in his arms now, he is at peace and will forever be your guarding angle.
Lots of love

I did not know John or his wife Donna. I would see them both on a daily basis at the Nursing home when I would go visit my dad who is there. We would say hello and good bye when I did see them. I will miss seeing them when I visit now. It gives you some comfort when you see the same faces. I am so sorry for the loss of John and I will keep Donna and his family in my prayers.
