John Roberts Obituary
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Hampton Heights Baptist Church. Burial will be in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.
A native of Rockingham County, Mr. Roberts was a retired mail carrier and a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Margaret Hutcherson Roberts of the home; daughters, Teresa Smart and husband Dickie, Sheila Grogan and husband V.P. Jr. and Karen Woods, all of Eden, Andrea Heilborn and husband Jim of High Point; son, John Anthony Roberts of Eden; brother, Jack Elwood Roberts of Ft. Myers, Fla; grandchildren, John and Jason Smart, Lori and Matthew Grogan, Sally, Nathan, Chris and Katie Woods, Daniel, Joseph and Victoria Roberts, Nicholas and Natalie Heilborn; seven great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Hasanaj and the fourth floor nursing staff of Morehead Memorial Hospital for their excellent care of Mr. Roberts during his stay.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, Morehead Memorial Foundation or Hospice of Rockingham County.
Reynolds Funeral Service is assisting the family.
