John ROBERTS Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Roberts on January 7, 2018. John was born September 20, 1928. He worked several jobs in his early years but was proud of his 31 years at the Bay. He met and married Audrey Steenson in 1955. Over their years together they had two sons, Tom (Karen) and Jack (Denise) and one daughter, Bev (Brice). They had eight grandchildren, Matthew (Vanessa), Jared (Cherise), Chris (Larissa), Jordan (Margot), Jessica (Dan), Hailey (Shanna), Kyler and Ashlyn; as well as four great-grandchildren, Ivey, Lennon, Liam and Brayden. John was predeceased by his loving wife Audrey, brothers Howard and Bert, and sisters, Elsie, Kay and Elaine. John enjoyed spending time at the cabin he built at Manitou Beach. He liked knitting and puzzles and working with his hands. There was always a deck of cards nearby if anyone wanted to play crib or Kaiser. Thanks to the staff at Porteous Lodge for making John's last couple years feel like he was home. See you in the funnies Dad. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (#26-1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9). A private family service will be held at a later date.
