Susan,
I just found out that John passed away. I am so sorry! Otherwise you would have seen me at the funeral. I am glad to have spoken to him before he passed and enjoyed our conversation. Although I haven't seen you both in a long while, I remember John as having a great sense of humor. My father was very fond of him. I have wonderful memories of many family parties, with John joining right in for the jokes and stories. May he Rest In Peace. My condolences.

I drove many times passing the crossing to pick up my son from Williams. And every time I saw Mr. Rudek attentively and seriously doing his duty. He reminded me all those kindness and friendlieness that belongs to this world. It is such a loss that I would never see him again there. I once wrote a poem inspired by him. I am sure he will continue to be inspiring for many persons.

Dear Sue and Family, I will always treasure myfriendship with you and John when Buster was alive and we enjoyed our last New Years Eve with him at your house.
And I am so glad that John and Jack became friends as well. We can look back and laugh at how silly all of us were, especially on Halloween nite.
Rest in peace John. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you for your hard work as a crossing guard for Williams Elementary school. I loved the greetings you gave me every morning and how you always have a smile on your face. When you left us in early May I thought to myself "Were is John? He was a really good crossing guard." No crossing guard will be as good as you. Thank you for your time as a crossing guard.

Thank you for being the crossing guard for over 30 years and helping the cars stop for us (Including me) so we could cross the street, and I like the "Good morning" you gave to me and other people every morning. I almost had you for my entire 6 years at Williams, with just 2 months left in my 5th grade year.

Dear Susan and Family. I would like to thank you so much for sharing John with us as our crossing guard for so many years. My name is Chad and our family moved in to 89 Grove St at the corner back in 2013. Every morning I enjoyed talking with John and for the last several years I was always checking in on his health and progress. We as a family want you to know how sorry we are to hear about his passing. We are definitely left with many great memories of him. God bless you and the family.
