John Salisbury Obituary

John (Joseph) Salisbury

1945 - 2014

At St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on Tuesday, January 8, 2014, John (Joseph) Salisbury, age 68 years. After many years of living with diabetes and complications therefrom. Beloved husband of the late Christine (nee Howcroft); Loving father of Jennifer Salisbury; Grandfather of Bianca and Cassie. He will be remembered fondly by his sisters Helen LeBlanc, Mabel, Cathy, and Brenda Brown and brothers Donald and Lionel; also survived by a great many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Lillian Scaife and brother Victor; A kind and loving man, he will be greatly missed. Private cremation to be followed by a wake in celebration of his life; an opportunity for friends and family to share fond memories and to say good-bye. Date and location to be announced for the spring.

I had the good fortune to visit him in Quebec looking exactly as he does in the photo with Bear. He had a huge cauldron filled with sap over a fire by his house. What a wonderful memory of him in his element entirely. We'll miss you Uncle Joe.
