John P. Schreiber, age 90, died November 23, 2003 in Wichita Falls, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2003 in Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Windthorst, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Mr. Schreiber was born in Windthorst, TX on September 13, 1913. He married Gertrude Zotz in Windthorst, TX on October 20, 1938. Mr. Schreiber was a retired rancher and cattle buyer. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Southwest Texas Cattle Raisers Association and the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. Mr. Schreiber was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Schreiber; a grandson, Darin Baumhardt; a great-granddaughter, Haley Schreiber; and brothers, Fr. Albert Schreiber and Ernest Schreiber, and sisters, Sr. Clara Schreiber and Josephine Schreiber. Mr. Schreiber is survived by his wife, Gertie, of the home; three sons, Ray Schreiber of San Antonio, TX, J.P. Schreiber Jr. of Windthorst, TX, David Schreiber of Wichita Falls, TX; three daughters, JoAnn Murillo of San Antonio, TX, Margie Baumhardt of Wichita Falls, TX, Jane Johnson of Ingleside, TX; two sisters, Helen Mathews of Wichita Falls, TX, and Lucille Stahl of Waco, TX; 12 grandchildren, Tina Murillo Segler, Tony Murillo, Jennifer Schreiber, Allison Schreiber Jensen, Kim M. Gann, Kristi Lyn Baumhardt, Melissa Schreiber Hill, Candace Schreiber Applebee, Steve Donelson, Travis, Cody and Lindsey Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren, Tiffani, Jake and Justin Moer, Kelli Short, Emily Murillo, Molly Willard, Abby Hill, Freddie Applebee IV, Drew Zach, Jared and Cameron Donels. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or to Our Lady Queen of Peace Building Fund.
