John Scott John Thomas Scott, aged 68, passed away on October 31, 2024, at his home in Keene, NH, shortly after a cancer diagnosis. Born on May 29, 1956, John's life was marked by his unique blend of stubbornness and humor, characteristics that remained with him to his peaceful passing in his favorite rocking chair.

John proudly served in the US Navy from 1974 until 1987, dedicating 13 years to his country. Post-military, he explored various careers before opting for early retirement, which allowed him more leisure time, some of which he spent with family and friends (the rest was spent with his long-loved computer games). He attended various local churches over the years, with Elm City Church in Keene being his most recent place of worship.

John is survived by his wife, Robin Scott, and daughters, Jess, Emily, Savannah, and Archer. He is also survived by siblings Rose Ross, Bob Scott, David Scott, and Barbara Reiss, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Edna Scott; sister, Linda Scott; and niece, Joanne Scott, along with many beloved cats.

Although John's unique final wishes were to have his body "tossed into the Connecticut River," his family has decided to hold a brief memorial service instead, as the former plan seemed to be, at the very least, questionable in legality. John's remains will be interred with military honors at the NH Veterans Cemetery on Jan 10, 2025 at 3pm, and all who knew him are invited to join his family in honoring his memory at that time.

John and I shared 25 wonderful years together! For our 20th anniversary, we went on our first (for both of us) and only cruise! It was amazing! We had a great time!
