John Samuel Shipp III
John Samuel Shipp III entered eternal rest peacefully and serenely on, January, 13, 2019 in Miami, Florida.

The second of four children and the loving son of John Samuel Shipp Jr. and Jane Ayre Hightower Shipp. John was born at Southside Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio on February 16, 1951.
John spent his former years in Youngstown, by attending North High School where he was an excellent athlete. He then decided to join the US Marine Corp in 1970. While stationed in Yuma Arizona, John he served two tours of duty voluntarily in Vietnam and received many medals one being the National Defense Service Medal. After his honorable discharge from the Marines, John went on to attend Grantham Institute of Electronics in Washington DC and received his Associates in Communications and FCC First Class License.

While in Washington, DC. John went on to become a national telecast Technical Director for the NBC News Bureau in DC working on broadcasts such as, "Meet the Press" and "NBC Nightly News". Prior to this position John gained experience as a Broadcast Television Technician and Freelance Television / Film & Video Editing Production Technician. His last positions were in Phoenix, Arizona where he worked as a Production and Technical Engineer.

John frequently volunteered to assist those less fortunate with the state's oldest clothing & food ministry (FIBCO Family Services) at First Institutional Baptist Church while his parents were involved under the leadership of Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. John' faith began when he was baptized at the Shipp's first church home Third Baptist church in Youngstown, Ohio under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Morris W. Lee.
John is survived by – Daughter, Robin Shipp; Step Daughters, Kellie Green, Myya Robinson and Janai Payne. Siblings - Dorothy (Ray) Weatherspoon; Frances (Charles) Wells and James Shipp Sr. 1 Grandchild, 14 Step Grandchildren and 17 Nieces and Nephews who called him "Uncle Johnny". Several aunts, uncles and extended family members.

John was preceded in death by his parents – John Samuel Shipp Jr and Jane Ayre Shipp.
