Dear Carol and family

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. Because of your kindness after my accident, I realized what it is like to give to others. It seems to me that John lived his live to help others. May we all pay forward his kindness.

You are in my prayers, may your happy memories help you through your sad days.

Carol, I will always remember the kindness that John showed to my Mom. That kind heart, no doubt, came from his Dad Charlie whom always loved his sister (and my Grandmother) Margaret, and I am sure that gift has been passed on to your children. I deeply regret not being able to attend yesterday's memorial service. May God give you strength at this difficult time. Richard Halpin

John was Chairman of the Ottawa Construction Association in 1983, moving up in succeeding years to also Chair the Provincial and National Associations. He gave selflessly to the betterment of the industry and had fun doing it along with wife Carol and friends.
