I am speechless and saddened. I will always have great memories of us underway on the Polar Sea. All the good times we had on watch and on liberty. You were a good friend John. You will be missed.

Master Chief led me when I was a First Class Petty Officer and had given a long impromptu brief offering much needed criticism, I felt made me better and eventually a Chief. Thanks Master Chief. - Chief Fuentes

My deepest condolences for family. MC Stormer and I worked together on two separate commands. CAMSPAC and CGCG. Prayers for the family and may GOD bring you peace and strength. He was a very nice man and always willing to help his shipmates.

I'm saddened to learn of John's passing today. He and I spent a lot of time together when he was my Executive in Hawaii. We shared a lot of laughs in and out of the office; great memories of that assignment. John was definitely a unique character, and I found that unique perspective a valuable asset to our team. I remember him most as a consistent and ardent advocate for his troops. Gary and Kathy, you have my condolences. Cheers, John. You are missed.
