A very kind gentleman. Remembering camping and Cub Scout outings back in the day with Pack 26. Love to all the family during this hard time. John was such a sweetheart.

Such a sweet, gentle and kind person. He was always fun to be around. The last time we were all at the river, we had such a good time. He will be missed by all that knew him. RIP John.

For Kathy and all of John's family, I am so sorry to hear about his passing. I remember John throughout my time at Rickards High as well. He was a very nice person to know and very smart. We both grdauated in '75. May God be with your family during this difficut time.

I got to know John when we were in high school together, I played for the freshman basketball team and he was on the varsity squad. John was truly a kind, friendly, and a gentle giant. God needed a power forward on his squad so he called John home.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was a cheerleader at Rickard's High and John was great Basketball player with a gentle spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with the Sullenberger family.

I remember playing against "Big John" and the "Sermon boys" Terry Lee and Rod Sermon.

Although Big John was cool and mild mannered gentle giant , he could be tough when he got riled.

I didn't know Mr. Sullenberger very well, but judging by the commendable character of the daughter and son that he raised, he is without doubt an exemplary man. I am so sorry for your loss. Y'all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I didn't know him personally, but he was a fellow FDLE member and I saw him many times and exchanged passing "good mornings" with him. I am so sorry for your loss.

I enjoyed working with John on different computer programs that I was involved in. He was always there to help me and would have the changes to the computer programs made in a short time. I considered him a great friend. He loved his family dearly. He will be missed at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. John was such a nice fellow. He was so helpful to me at FDLE whenever I needed help running my computer reports for officer discipline stats and public records. My thoughts and prayers are with John's family that our Father God will bring them peace and comfort at this sad time. R.I.P. John.

I remember John as a dedicated yearbook staff member at Rickards when I was adviser. He made our trip to state FSPA convention special. In later years, he remained a friend. My condolences to his family
