I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the entire Sundell Family on the loss of Dr. (Lt Col) John Sundell. Dr. Sundell was a very caring, understanding and knowledgeable physician. He was admired and highly regarded by the technologists on staff. I will particularly remember his dedication and friendship with the Nuclear Medicine Team at SAMMC. It was an honor to have known such a good, kind person and he will truly be missed.

My prayers and best wishes to Dr. Sundell and his entire family. My heart goes out to all who must go through such a great loss. I worked with Dr. Sundell during his Nuclear Medicine Fellowship and during his time at Brooke Army Medical Center as a Staff Nuclear Medicine Physician. His intelligence, patience and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew him there.

John is a great Officer, Physician, Friend and Mentor. He set the example as a compassionate, humble physician and teacher. We are all better because of his influence. He is dearly missed but fondly remembered by all. To the Sundell family - please take solace in the huge impact he had in the short time we were given to listen and learn from him! We support you with our prayers and happiness reflecting on his wonderful life!

To the Sundells, John will be truly missed and I am deeply saddened by his passing. He was a gentleman, colleague and friend for many years. In addition to being an exceptional Nuclear Medicine physician and Radiologist, John's IT skills constantly amazed me as he calmly navigated through our "mature" UHS computers. His dry wit, wide grin and calm nature will be fondly remembered. I am glad to have known him.

To the Sundell Family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of John's departure. Although I am fully confident that he is with the Lord, it still is very difficult to bear this news. My prayers and sincere condolences to your whole family.

I was shocked and sad to hear of my good friend, Dr. Sundell's passing. He helped me and the Radiology Dept. at UTHSCSA so often. He was always willing to help when he could in the ER and Nuclear Medicine and was so much appreciated. He was a very good person, thoughtful, helpful and a hard worker. Our prayers go out to the family.
