John Sweat Obituary

John Michael Sweat III, 31, of RR 1 Ulster (Rome Twp.), Pa., died Monday evening, June 19, 2006, in Warren Township, Pa., as the result of an accident.

Born May 16, 1975, in Sayre, Pa., he was the son of John M. Sweat Jr. and Judy Gowin Rosencrance.

John was formerly employed by E and B Lumber in Wysox, Pa., and the Mountain Hardwood Sawmill in Rome, Pa.

At the time of his death he was employed by the Bradford Quarry in Warren Center, Pa.

John enjoyed spending time with his children, the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are: his wife: Holly A. Maxwell Sweat, and his children, Te'a Lynn Sweat and Dalton James Sweat, all at home; his mother and stepfather, Judy and Fred Rosencrance of Rome RR 1; his father, John M. Sweat Jr. of Wysox, Pa.; a half-brother, Charles Sweat of Wysox; a half-sister, Donna Sweat of Tunkhannock, Pa.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Jean Maxwell of Ulster.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James B. "Jimmy" Gowin on Nov. 25, 2003; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Allen Gowin; and his paternal grandparents, John M. Sweat Sr. and Sue Robinson Sweat.

A private graveside service will be held at the Rome Cemetery, Rome, at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

The Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home of Towanda, Pa., is assisting John's family with arrangements.
