As our chaplain at St. Mary's Dominican High School in New Orleans, Father Tamburello touched the lives and souls of so many of us. I will always be grateful to him for all of his efforts in helping me choose my life's work. Thank you again father, and I know you are receiving such great rewards in heaven for your many kindnesses and accomplishments here on earth.

To Fr. Tamburello's family: he was our teacher, and very respected but most of all, dearly loved. I know that he watches over us and will continue to guide us from heaven as he did from earth. He not only taught me to live life as a young student at DHS but also as an adult and in his final months, how to accept our death. God be with us all.

I remember in St. Dominic's bulletin when Father's autobiography was entered. At the end was a quote, "I love to preach." Even after his initial encounter with cancer, he came back to St. Dominic's and did what he loved to do--preach! He was a true Dominican, and he will be missed!
My sympathy to the family.

Fr. Tamburello was chaplain at Dominican, when I was a student.
(Class of 1963) He was always so kind and helpful. May God grant him the peace he so richly deserves.

Father Tamburello was my first contact with the great tradition of theological study and learning handed on by the Order of Preachers. That Dominican foundation has been the foundation of my faith. I remember Father Tamburello with gratitude and fondness.

Dear Sister Dominic Maria and Virginia Tamburello,
Father taught me at Dominican High School, officiated at our wedding, and has kept close contact with us and has remained in our prayers through the years, especially during his time of illness. We have been inspired by his love for the Lord and his people, his courage in the face of extended illness. He opened our hearts more fully to the Love of God, and our spiritual lives and our marriage and family continue to be enriched through his priestly ministry. We know that many will continue to benefit from his prayers as he rejoices eternally in the Lord's presence.
We send our love to you and pray that the Lord will console you with His Love.

Fr. Tamburella:
Counselled and fulfilled were those whose paths you crossed on the way to our eternal destiny.
May your light forever burn bright in the hearts of former and future parishioners of St. Dominic Parish, New Orleans. Amen.
