To the Tourjee Family, I was shocked when Kathy told me the sad news. I give a big hug to Teri, Karen, Sharmon, Cheyane & April. You all have to take care of one another at this time of adjusting & healing. I still find comfort in my siblings after 3 years. You will be amazed how close you become at this time. Keep an eye on your beautiful Mother. The thing that stands out in my mind about him for me was his height. But of course what do you want from a Midgette. He told me to write that. My thoughts are with you all & his greatest legacy are his 5 awesome children. With all my heart, Carol Midgette & Family

Dear Kathy and family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. I have always had the highest regard for him since meeting and working with him many years ago. John was always kind, and could make anyone laugh with his great sense of humor and archive of jokes. John was a great mentor, but more importantly he was always willing to help out a friend. John was a gifted and talented individual having the ability to troubleshoot, build or repair anything mechanical, electrical, concrete or wood. He was always willing to share his knowledge base with others in repairing their cars, trucks, tractors, hydraulics, houses, wells, boats, machinery and motorcycles. He could always take on a repair challenge and provide a solution. John was forthright, but neither intimidating nor intruding. He was open, friendly, and authentic. I join you and the many others who will miss him, but remain grateful still for having known and worked with him. My sincere condolences go out to all of you.
With warmest regards,
Jack Manarky

To Kathy and those left behind, please accept our deepest sympathy from Edith and I in your loss. Our son Kevin could not have had a better father-in-law, nor their children Courtney and Madison a better grandfather. The void left by John will be hard to fill.
