Frank Kurz
Mr. Kurz, of Charlotte, passed away early in the evening on October 11, 2003, after several months of declining health.
Frank was born in Union City, NJ in 1911, the only son of William and Katherine Hitzel. He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Ann Fabian Kurz, and is survived in addition to his wife by his granddaughter, Olivia Regina Kurz. His two cherished children, Regina and Jim, preceded him in death. He also leaves behind several nephews and nieces and his loving daughter-in-law, Nanette Kurz Bush and her husband, Randy.
Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose main objective in life was to serve and provide for his family. Prior to moving to Charlotte in 1987, he spent most of his life in Flemington, NJ.
Frank was an innovative and hardworking man whose working career included many varied jobs, most of them utilizing his accounting skills. On two occasions, he single-handedly built two beautiful houses for his family. He also avidly followed the stock market and enjoyed watching sports, and in prior years enjoyed playing golf.
His generosity, optimism, and wit will be greatly remembered and missed by all that knew him.
A memorial service to honor Frank Kurz's life will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Road, on Thursday, October 16, 2003, at 7:00 PM. A reception for family and friends will follow.
