Sincere thanks to our wonderful friends and family members who have been so thoughtful and supportive for the last eight months. The flowers, cards, calls, e-mails, food, visits, dog sitting (!) and contributions to daniel, Inc. have just been overwhelming!

Specials thanks to those of you who made the memorial service the uplifting event, celebrating John's life, that it turned out to be. Stephen and Richard Weatherby, Bucky Clarkson and Don McClure~your courage and wonderful stories were such a gift. Today would have been John's 58th birthday.

Lisa and Alexa, please accept our genuine sympathy in the loss of John. It was a joy for me to meet him this past year. In just a few months, I came to know him as a kind, generous and warm spirited person. He welcomed me into his home and shared moments with myself and James that neither of us will ever forget. We know how courageous he was during the last few months. We also know how courageous you and Alexa have been. We will remember John for so many reasons, but my most lasting memory will be that wonderful smile he had on his face when I saw him during the holidays. Lisa, you, Alexa, and your entire family are in our prayers as we remember John.

With sincere sympathy and love,

Valerie and James Sellers

John was a very warm, caring person who loved life and his family. His friendly, outgoing manner and great attitude endeared him to those who knew him. He was a wonderful son-in-law who was thought of more as a son than a son-in-law. He will be greatly missed.

John was a wonderful brother-in-law with a zest for living and a deep love for his family. No one John met was ever a stranger. He liked people and knew how to make everyone feel at ease.

He fought his illness with so much determination, grace, dignity, and a positive attitude that it increased my admiration and respect for him greatly. His truly was a valiant effort.

Lisa has been a rock and a wonderful example of love, caring, strength, and grace under extremely difficult circumstances.

John will be greatly missed, but I'm glad he's now at peace. He will live on in our hearts.
