John Whener

John Whener passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2022 at the age of 81. He is the beloved husband to Marie Whener (nee Reca). Loving dad to Denise Buddle, John Whener (Beth) and Timothy Whener (Gretchen). Dear Pop Pop to Genelle, Kelsyn, Sean, Rhiannon, Emily, Timothy and the late Joseph. Predeceased by his brother Raymond Thomas. John will also be sadly missed by his 9 great grandchildren, sister Grace Carr, mother-in-law Emily Reca and many cousins and dear family and friends. John proudly served as a Lance Corporal in the United State Marine Corps. He worked very hard and was very proud of building his general contracting business John Whener and Sons. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, May 27, 2022 beginning at 9:30am at St. John Cantius Church, 4420 E. Thompson St., Phila., PA 19137 (Bridesburg). Funeral Mass will begin at 11am. Military Honors will be rendered following the mass. Interment will be held privately.
