I am very sorry to find the loss of Johnny while doing family research. It has been many years but I have never forgotten you all and the first time I came to El Paso and we spent the weekend at Elephant Butte Lake. You all came up to the hospital when I had my first heart attack in 86. I think of John coming up to My grandmothers and going out in back field and shooting BeBe gun at the goats. He has always been in my thoughts. It was 3 years ago I went to the graves in Antrim and laid flowers. God bless him. He gave me inspiration to do 22 years in the Army.

To a great man, father, and grandfather...don't worry Mr. Whitcomb, God is watching over your loved ones. I pray that they will remain strong and always remember, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten...

God bless you.. My He grant you peace. Take care of you during your time of sorrow. Mr. Whitcomb was a great man. Love his family so much. I'm sorry for your loss. He is the only man that scared me besides my own father..lol. But Sue always assured me he was nothing like my dad. But one thing for sure, I remember how his whole family had nothing but great things to say about him and his dedication to them...

John, you had great common sense, and I'll miss talking to you. I'll have a cold one in your memory.
