As a Co-Sunday School Teacher along with Johnny Young many years ago, we served as chaperones on a summer youth trip to Panama City Beach, FL.
A hand full of the youth (which included John Jr.) just made the trip entertaining. Sometimes getting closer to Jesus includes "bonding" via water balloons, shaving crème, and garbage cans of ice. John Jr. was full of life and people just naturally gravitated to him at the earliest age.
Our prayers are with the current families as well as his family that was to be: Lily Rouse.
He´ll forever remain in our memories...

I would just like to say that in the short period of a year and a half that I have known John, he has become one of my best friends. That is saying a lot because I only have two. John and I went fishing and hunting together a lot. He brought my kids with us on their first deep sea fishing trip and their first hunting trip. He was there and took my son to kill his first deer. John was truly a pleasure to be around everyday. I'm lucky to have been one of his friends. John made me look forward to coming to work everyday. He was a hard worker and very good at what he did and was able to do his job while also having fun, always being happy and making work more enjoyable every day by just being around. He put everyone in a good mood by just being there. John was very friendly to any and everyone and would help anybody with anything at the drop of a dime. I could call John if I needed help or anything and he would be there for me every single time. John was more of a brother than a friend. I remember one time when we got a bonus at work but I had not yet been hired on with the company and he told me that even though I was still on a probationary period, he thought that I deserved one also, so he split his bonus check with me. When I tried to give it back he wouldn't take it. He was always there when I needed someone to talk to and was always an inspiration to me. He was an encouraging, caring, respectful and faithful person. I'm truly grateful for being able to be a part of his life and for him being a part of mine for that short period of time. He would tell me all the time how he was so lucky to have a girl like Lily in his life. I remember the day at work when he told me he was going to ask her to marry him. I was so happy for them. I truly going to miss John as well as every single person that knew him will. I am in prayer for the family and just want to say that I am honored and very grateful to have him as a part of my life.

No doubt he is celebrating in heaven with his grandmothers, grandfather, Jay, and being in the presence of Jesus whom he loved! Sending up prayers for you all during this sorrowful time. I too know the pain of losing a son. May God bless you and comfort you as only He can
