Carl McFadden Sr.

A recent retiree with ExxonMobil, he died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 57 and a native of Covington. Visiting at Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin St., on Friday, July 24, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Religious service at Promised Land Baptist Church, 7234 Plank Road, on Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles Thomas. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by his wife, Carolyn Farlow McFadden; daughter, Toisha Nicole McFadden, of Baton Rouge; four sons, Carl E. McFadden Jr., Chad McFadden, Chandler McFadden and Christopher McFadden, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Joyce Alexander Young and husband Herbert, of Los Angeles, and Ursula Kay Brown, of Hammond; brother, Donald Ray Brown, of Hammond; two granddaughters, Raven and Aleyah; four grandsons, Chase, Collin, Connor and Chad Jr.; grandfather, James "Daddy" Russell; uncle, Sylvester "Uncle Pap" Russell and wife Deloris; three aunts, Imogene Wells and husband Robert, Patricia Conley and husband Glen, and Claralean Alexander, all of Ponchatoula; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his mother, Clara Alexander; father, Leroy McFadden; brothers, Roy and Michael; sister, Christine; and niece, Melissa.
