Published by Legacy Remembers on May 6, 2015.
John David Wolfe Sr., 77, of Palm Bay, Florida went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2015.
He was born March 4, 1938 to George F. Wolfe and Cecil W. (Crozier) Wolfe in Newark, Ohio.
He became a private pilot at the young age of 19, and was a member of the US Army Air-Force Reserve.
He married Esther Hayes Lamneck on April, 8 1965, acquiring a full family by taking in 5 of Esther's children. A son John David Wolfe, Jr, was born a year later on February 19, 1966. John moved to Palm Bay, Florida from Columbus, Ohio in June of 1972. There he was employed at Patrick Air Force Base. He was in civil Service until his retirement.
John was very talented and patient with free flights and remote control planes. His favorite countries he visited were Germany and Norway. He loved the beauty of the countries, the people, food and railways.
John loved many things, eating, the outdoors, planes, trains, automobiles as well as hunting, fishing, camping and biking. He was a dedicated organist at South Babcock Baptist Church in Palm Bay, Florida.
He loved life, lived it to his fullest. He lost Esther, the love of his life, on August 11, 2011, and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Harbour, and grandson, John Timmons. Dad knew one day he would be reunited for eternity with our mother.
John is survived by his sons John David Wolfe, Jr., and F.C. Lamneck. Daughters; Pattie Lamneck, Cindy Morrison, and Frances Horanyi.
