I remember John from the time he came to Saginaw and trained with him as a medical student band intern. I later returned to Saginaw as a practicing Physiatrist. John was a great teacher and surgeon. He was well respected by the DO and MD physicians in Saginaw. He has been missed since his retirement. Condolences to his family.

My heart aches at hearing this news but take some solace in knowing he is at peace.
Dr Wolfe and his entire family are such incredible people. From fishing trips to Canada, to trips to East Jordan, hockey trips and skating in their back yard rink -he was such an amazing (& extremely patient) man. He never was mad about anything -even when it involved a hockey puck going through the window, or Adam and I coming back after curfew at the cabin -he just smiled that incredible smile and said, "Well you did it, now you have to pay the fine" all with twinkle in his eye. Adam and I raked the entire beach.
So many incredible times and memories. This man among men taught so much.
My deepest condolences to Dr Carol Wolfe, Meegs and Dr Adam Wolfe. Gone but never ever forgotten.

This you know Carol that John was a physician to our family, a professional associate of Arno's plus a dear, dear friend. I have so many memories of the good times we had together. We did get to see John's progress restoring "Full Circle" & were very impressed with his skills. My daughter & myself are also thankful for his surgical skills. Keeping you Carol & your family in my heart & in my prayers. Love Jan

John was the most affable able and available surgeon I have ever encountered and I always had complete confidence in his abilities to diagnose and then save patients´ lives. I am honored to have known him.
Every time I spoke with him on phone he would say "Hello, this is your conscience speaking".
My deepest condolences to his lovely family.
Sincerely,

I was fortunate to work with Dr. Wolfe as a colleague at St. Luke´s, now Covenant hospital. Appreciate so much what he did for the osteopathic profession in Saginaw. He was very kind to me when I was a new physician. Prayers for peace and strength to his family,
