John William Young, Jr.

John William Young, Jr, age 79, originally of Baltimore, Maryland and longtime resident of Atlanta, Georgia. Born to Julia and John William Young, he was a devoted father to his two sons, John William Young, III and Matthew David Young, and to his niece, Sicily Faulkner, a caring father-in-law to Myla Barefield Young and Kavitha Rajagopalan, and beloved grandfather to Jaxon, Kaelyn, Leela, and Krishna Young. Following dedicated service to his country as a Radarman in the U.S. Navy, he enjoyed a long and successful career at Bell Atlantic Network Services, ascending to Vice President. He was a committed nephew to his aunt, Earnestine Martin and cherished cousin in a large and loving family. Homegoing services will take place at 11:30 am on Monday, June 12, at March Funeral Home West, 4300 Wabash Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215; and he will be laid to rest afterward alongside his parents and sister at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2130 Woodlawn Dr., Baltimore, MD 21207.
