Mrs Zamary,
I am so sorry to gear of Mr Z's passing. He was my 6th grade teacher in the late 70's and one of the great ones. I was so happy to reconnect with him via emails the mast couple years. His passion for educating us was infectious. He leaves the world a better place with his presence.

Dear Brenda,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of John.... never a cuter couple than the two of you.... a man of such character... a defender of women's rights before it was "fashionable" - such a good and honorable person. My mom was a great admirer of John's.
May your memories bring a smile to your face during this difficult time.

Mr. Zamary was my 5th (and later 6th) grade science teacher when I was enrolled at South Street School after my family immigrated to the U.S. in 1966. As a non-English speaking student, I never felt unwelcomed in his science class and was always encouraged to participate regardless of my lack of English language skills during those first few months. I will forever have fond memories of Mr. Zamary's kindness towards his students and his love for the subject he taught! My deepest and sincerest condolences to the Zamary family.

Dear Brenda, Jack and Matthew,
So very sorry to hear of John's passing. I remember your family from Well Avenue and you would occasionally call me to watch Jack & Matthew. You were a very lovely family and missed you once you moved from the neighborhood. May the peace of God be with you all.

John was one of the nicest people anyone could ever have the privilege of meeting, great smile, terrific personality, and friendly as any person could get, the consummate teacher. My wife and I lived right across the street from the Zamarys and when we saw John outside, he always had his hand up in a wave. Unfortunately, when they moved to Newtown, we never saw them again after their move. However, one never forgets nice people and we never forgot John and his wife, Brenda when they were our neighbors. We have thought of them from time to time as like whenever we see the family that bought their house or in conversation remembering past times or whenever we were out and above and our travels took us to Newtown. Alas, we never stopped to knock on their door just to say Hi. Our sincerest condolences go out to John's family.
