Johnathan Crossley Obituary
Born in San Diego, Calif., he was the son of Graceann Zavada Tokar of Exeter and the late James R. Crossley. He was a 2010 graduate of West Side Career and Technology Center, Pringle, where he pursued his love for audio/visual technology studies.
He was previously employed by Mr. Kleen Car Wash, Exeter. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves, Scranton, and had been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Also preceding him in death, along with his father, were his wife, Julia Oschal Crossley, who also perished in the fire, along with his grandparents, William and Mary Zavada, Wyoming, and George and Billie Crossley, California.
Surviving are his mother, Graceann Tokar and husband, Brian, Exeter; son, Jasper Hudock; stepmother, Diane Crossley; sister, Billie Crossley and husband, Shane Byrd, El Paso, Texas; sister, Emily Crossley, Seattle, Wash.; stepsister, Allyson Tokar, Exeter; lifelong friend, John Tomsak Jr., Tunkhannock; in addition to countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his army family.
Funeral services will be held with military honors at 7 p.m. Friday at Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with Chaplin David H. Troyer officiating.
Friends and family may call from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Condolences to all of Jonathan's family. I served with Crossley in Kuwait during OEF in 2013. I was a Corporal at the time and he was a Specialist. I was his team leader and I truly hope that I was able to fulfill his needs while we were away from home. I know it's 6 years later, and I'm sure you all have difficult days with him no longer being with us, I just wanted to say that Crossley was a very dedicated Soldier to his duties, and making sure the well being of his family needs were met while he was away. With it being Memorial Day weekend I thought of him this morning and I hope that all of His family is doing well.
May God bless you all this weekend while you reflect on his memory as I am.

I only knew Jon for a short while, but the time spent with him it was evident that he was a great person, a loving partner to his wife and a wonderful father. I know he will watch over Jasper and help him through this. You will be so missed Jon.
