Johnathon Martin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 15, 2017.
Johnathon Edward Martin, Jr., 30, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2017. He was born on February 16, 1987 in Houston, Texas to John Edward Martin and Sonja Gail (Collins) Rolfes. Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, Texas. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11AM at Taylor Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held. Johnathon moved to Timpson at an early age. He graduated from Timpson High School as a member of the Class of 2005. He met the love of his life, Samantha Abbate Martin, in November 2013. Three short months later, he asked her if she would move to Nacogdoches. The two have remained faithfully by one another’s side, building their dreams as a family. Their first-born child, Makynlie Claire was born March 2015. She had her Daddy wrapped around her finger and brought such joy to their lives. She was a true "Daddy’s girl." In October 2017, the family of three welcomed another blessing, Kamden Cole Martin, a sweet, beautiful boy who Johnathon loved beyond words. Johnathon was a very hard working young man. He worked two jobs, one of which was a company started by him and his father, John, in November 2015. Martin & Martin Trucking was a vision Johnathon had that he had hoped would one day be the sole provision for him and his entire family. It was his dream to build the company from the ground up into a full functioning corporation. While Johnathon was a focused and determined young man, he also took time to breathe and enjoy life. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, knee-boarding, spending time at the lake and playing football. Above all, the greatest treasures of his life were his children. Johnathon’s favorite moments were those spent holding his baby girl and his newborn son. There is a bond between them that will never be broken. Johnathon is survived by his loving wife, Samantha Abbate Martin; babies, Kamden Cole Martin, Makynlie Claire Martin; father, John Edward Martin and wife Terri; mother, Sonja Gail Rolfes; brother, Joshua Lloyd Martin; sisters, Harley Martin, Emily Ann Rolfes, Heather Gray, Brittany Dupree, Kaela Hudman; mother in law, Tracie Abbate; grandmother, Diane Dukes; brother in laws, Caleb Abbate, Noah Abbate; aunt, Julie Wulf; uncle, Mike Wulf; cousin, Stevie Sanchez; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Billie Ray Collins, Gertie Loyce Collins, Sharon McKinney, Howard Martin, and Ronnie Dukes. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Martin, Jason Dupree, Chase Taylor, Michael Masterson, Anthony Martin, Kaleb Amos, Joe Grabowski, and Trent Hairgrove. Honorary pallbearers serving are Caleb Abbate and Noah Abbate. The family is being served by Taylor Funeral Home in Timpson, Texas. I miss my baby boy more today than yesterday. My life is so incomplete without him. I wish it had been me instead of him. He had his precious family.
