Johnene Kay Abrams, known affectionately as Johni, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 71. Born on January 15, 1953, in Warren, Ohio, Johni grew into a remarkable individual, known for her deep empathy, patriotism, and unwavering faith.

Johni had a profound impact on those around her, characterized by her soft-spoken and shy demeanor, which masked a fierce and caring spirit. Her early life was marked by notable achievements in writing, inspiring others to cherish and uphold the freedoms so dear to her heart. She carried this passion throughout her life, always ready to support and guide her family through challenging times. As a devout attendee of the Chandler Presbyterian Church, Johni's faith played a central role in her life, offering her comfort and strength.

She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her deeply: her children, James, Jennifer, and Daniel Blech; her grandchildren, Ethan, Audrey, and Cora Blech; and her siblings, Suzanne Russel, Randall Abrams, and Anne Eichberger. Johni was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Audrey Abrams, and her brother, Jim Abrams.

Johni's educational journey included graduating from Warren G Harding High School followed by earning an Associate degree from Biosystems and Arizona State University.

A celebration of life will be held at the Chandler Presbyterian Church on October 13th from 2-4 PM. The Whitney and Murphy Bueler Mortuary in Chandler, AZ, will be assisting the family during this time.

Johni's legacy of love, faith, and courage will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
