CARR, JOHNNIE MAE WELLS Age 81, of Centerpoint, was born July 20, 1929 to the late Lula and Redden Wells of Pennington, AL. She passed away peacefully July 19, 2011 at home. She confessed Christ at an early age at Millwood Primitive Baptist Church. She later joined Twenty-fifth Baptist Church. She attended Lewis E. School, Industrial High (A.H. Parker), and Birmingham Metro Skill Center of Nursing. She retired from Mercy Hospital (Cooper Green Mercy), and worked 20 years for Dr. Steven & Dr. Carol Lietner, caring for their twin sons, Brice and Keith. She was married to the late Walter Carr, to this union 4 children was born. Left to cherish her memories are a daughter Carolyn Carr (Phillip); sons, Deaine, Roger (Brenda) and Carl Carr; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. Family hour will be Friday 6 to 7 p.m. at the chapel. Homegoing celebration is Saturday at 12 O'clock, July 30, 2011 at the church. Perryman Serenity Chapel directing.
