Mr. Johnny W. Harris Jr., age 71, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Mr. Harris was born on July 29, 1943 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late John and Lucille Harris. Among those who preceded him in death include, his siblings, Debbie Dowell, Larry, Darrell, Ernie and Jerry Harris and parents. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Mary Harris; daughter, Sherry Flood; grandchildren, Katie Flood and James Patrick Haggerty; sisters, Delores Hunt, Janie Aldridge, Rosie Hester, Dottie Moore and Lillie Jessie; brothers, Marvin, James, Mike and Terry Harris and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 4:30 until the time of service at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society. Family and friends may meet at St. George Cemetery in Brandenburg, Kentucky on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 am for burial.
