Johnny Junior Icard

Mr. Johnny Junior Icard, 72 of Hildebran, passed away on the morning of November 2, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Johnny was born on June 3, 1943 in Burke County to the late John Wesley Icard and Nina Eleise Dameron Icard. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Icard, where he served as Senior Adult Sunday School Teacher and as Head Usher. He was retired from Western Carolina Center and proudly served his country in the Air Force. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Dixie Davis Icard, his daughter, Amy Icard Teague and friend Brian Best, grandchildren Austin and Allison Teague. He is also survived by his 2 brothers Tony Icard and wife, Norma Jean, of Icard and Steve Icard of Hickory; and 2 sisters, Rebecca Ingle and husband, Claude of Hickory, and Brenda Moore and husband, Claude, Jr., of Drexel. Funeral Services for Johnny Junior Icard will be held at 3:00 PM, November 5, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Icard with Rev. Marvin Wiley and Rick Hildebran officiating. Entombment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00PM at First Baptist Church, Icard.
