Jolene COTE Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Jolene who was taken from us so tragically.
She will be forever loved and always remembered by her husband Michael, her two children Aiden and Adison; mother, Dorothy Commandeur, three sisters, Rhonda Berg (Grant), Trina (Trevor) Pfannmuller, Krista Knapp; three nephews, Zach Berg, Jakob Knapp, and Jackson Pfannmuller and one niece Olivia Gylander.
Also to cherish her memory is her Grandma, Alice Commandeur; mother and father in-law, Pat and Claude Cote; sister in-law, Kristal (Chris) Gylander; and brothers in-law Steven Cote and Val Berg, as well as her step mother Jody Wenbourne; extended family and her many many friends.
Jolene was predeceased by her father, Ron Knapp, grandparents, Rose and Cless Knapp, and her grandfather, Rene Commandeur.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at West Meadows Baptist Church, 9333 - 199 Street, Edmonton, AB. (due to construction, church is easily accessed going west on 87 Avenue and turning right on 199 Street).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Jolene Cote Memorial Trust Fund. The fund has been established as a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for committing this horrible crime. Donations can be made at any Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB) to: Jolene Cote Memorial Trust Fund. The family of Jolene thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support.

Dear Mike, Aiden, Addison, Pat, Claude, Dorthey and Girls,
This note is meant to cheer you as best it can in the face of your great loss and the fact that it seems to be a crime for which no one pays a price. Please know that your precious wife, mother, daughter and daughter-in-law, mother and grandmother will not be forgotten and remains very much in our thoughts. Jolene left everyone she touched with a richer, fuller life just for knowing her and learning to love life and all it offers from her example. Our sympathies for you all and we still hope and pray that somewhere down the road justice will be served in this matter.

Dear Cote/Knapp Family, Greystone students and teachers, Mayerthorpe students and teachers and All friends of Jolene near and far.
Jolene was a great person who obviously made many in her life better for knowing her. I have seen the prayers and thoughts come in for a woman who showed the kids she taught they were special and they could reach new bounds and be better people and have been moved by them. Jolene will be missed by many and her children can grow up not missing a mother but knowing she was an instrumental part of many lives and someone to look up to. Aiden and Adison have a role model in an angel now watching over them helping guide them to the right paths in life. They have the glow of their moms legacy to grow and thrive in.
