I worked with Jon and Jana in Kwoi and what a lovely time we had! God bless this family for their love and sacrifices

Jon was part of my life for most of my life, since I was very young around 7 years old and into my thirties and he worked with my dad for a very long time washing windows. He and my dad were good friends and they would spend most mornings together at their favorite coffee shops. When I was young he would take me on trips with his family and he's the only person that ever did that for me. He also brought me food when I was very hungry and going to the thanksgiving dinner at lincoln park was some of my fondest memories of my life. I hope I someday have those types of memories again. But things like that just don't exist for me anymore, but I wish they did.
He visited my dad when my dad was dying of cancer and since then my dad has died and so hopefully if a heaven exists then they are their together helping each other be happy.
Jon was a very good man and I am very sorry that my family and I didn't get to say goodbye to him like he did for my father. I wish him and his whole family nothing but the best.

It's been said that you can count your good friends in life on one hand. When I count my life's good friends Jon is among those who I will always count on that hand. I will and I do miss you Jon and will till we meet again, just knowing that day will adds to that peace that passes all understanding. My best to Jana and family as they grow accustomed to Jon's absence. Jon was one of the most humble caring of others I've ever known in my life and someone I can say was truly a "Great" person!

Dear Jana,

We were so sad to hear that Jon's life on this earth is over. We rejoice that he is with the Lord, but grieve because we know he has left a huge vacancy in your life and the life of your children and grandchildren. We have such fond memories of your visit last year. We were so grateful we had that time with you as it was good to touch base again after so many years. Our prayers are with you. Love, Les and Verla
