Uncle Jon decided to take my Grandfather Tate "Papa" shooting on this day. We all tagged along and I'm pretty sure my mother "Jill Gunn" took this awesome picture of Uncle Jon and I.

Jon Roy Gunn known to me as my "uncle Jon" was of the most genuine and caring people in my life. His influential character and demeanor stays with my brother Austin, sister Morgan and I forever. Aside from him teaching us everything we know in relation to working, fishing, shooting, hunting and much more. The greatest moments of my childhood we're when he dropped by unexpectedly to take us somewhere new or brought us the newest gadgets he wanted us to have. Many of us will remember all of the times we spent talking on the phone with Uncle Jon because his communication skills were second to none, his outreach and ability to keep in touch with more people than I care to know astounds me. Aside from that his patriotism and love for the USA and constitution was always with him. God bless uncle Jon and I know many of us can help contribute our personal accomplishments to Uncle Jon due to his overwhelming support for all of us. ✝

A great friendship that ended too soon. Jon's dad, Tate Gunn, and my dad, C.H. (Buddy) Richey, were hunting partners and friends for decades. Jon was counting the days for our first hunting adventure together in South Africa and looking forward to catching up on the past with stories around the evening campfire. I will be taking Jon on this hunt in spirit with me and will miss him deeply.
