Jonathan Scott Doggett, 39, died May 6, 2007 with his mother by his side. Jonathan was born August 9, 1967 in Dallas, to William and Martha Scott Doggett, His father preceded him in death seven years earlier. Jonathan was a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, TX and had attended the Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas. For the past 15 years he had worked as the Youth Minister in three churches in the Dallas area and one in Anaheim, Calif. with various youth ministries. He served as President of Doggett Enterprise (a family business for children) for five years. Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Jordan Elizabeth; mother, Martha Doggett; aunt and uncle, Shirley and Paul DuBose; cousins, Jerry, Michael and Jimmy, as well as many close friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Fielders Cemetery, Lufkin. Pallbearers will be Chris Bicking, John Bryan, "Boz" Bosley, Scott Pomeroy, Jerry DuBose and Michael Gleghorn. Honorary pallbearers: Steve Lee, James Redick, Scott Garrison and Lance Jacobs. Charles W. Smity and Son Funeral Home, Sachse, directors.

Martha,
I was so sorry to hear about Jonathan. It is sad that we lose touch because of our busy lives.
I can only imagine the sadness that you must be feeling. Bucky and I send our sympathy and are so sorry that due to commitments beyond our control, we are not going to be able to attend the graveside services. Our love and prayers will be with you.
