PAINTER WINSTON-SALEM Jonathan Lee Painter Aug. 29, 1976 - Jan. 2, 2013 Jonathan (Johnny) Lee Painter, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Johnny was born August 29, 1976 in Winston Salem, NC to Julie and Rickey Painter. Johnny was an avid Tar Heel fan that loved fishing and the outdoors. He was a good friend to many and always the first to offer help to anyone in need. This proved to be true even after his passing when Johnny's living wish to be an organ donor was fulfilled giving others a second chance at life. Johnny has one daughter, Megan age 15, who he loved and cherished deeply. Johnny will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his beloved daughter Megan; parents Julie and Robert Luffman and Rickey and Mary Jo Painter; grandmother Mary Columbine; brothers Nick, Robert, Shawn and sister Christine. He is preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Arietta Painter and Doc Hall. A memorial service will be held on January 6 at 4:00 p.m., at Advent Moravian Church, 1514 W. Clemmonsville Rd., Winston-Salem, NC and the funeral service will be held on January 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Missionary Alliance Church, 1078 Gumtree Rd, Winston Salem NC. Rev Mike Gates, Senior Pastor will officiate.
