Jordan Christopherson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 15, 2022.
After just a few short weeks reconnecting with his family and friends, Jordan died suddenly on the evening of April 29th, 2022. He had just begun to make a determined recovery after spending months in the hospital with covid.

Jordan has always been a person who thrived in challenging situations and the last few months of his life showcased this ability to its fullest. Many times in his life he has defied the odds and accomplished the seemingly impossible.

He spent 44 years seeing exactly what he could get away with, and as a result ended up living more life than most people twice his age. He spent a great deal of time pushing limits and an equal amount of time making amends. He could talk to anyone and talk his way out of anything. Sometimes misdirected, often misunderstood and always confident he could overcome any obstacle in front of him. Just about the only thing that never described him is boring.

He opened his heart to many and loved immensely. He wanted to go beyond the horizon in every experience and possessed an eternal curiosity about what existed right on the edge in life. Because of this, he achieved depth, perspective, compassion, and even a Guinness World Record. Still, the most impressive accomplishment he achieved was to take responsibility for his own life.

Jordan is survived by and preceded in death by a diverse and eclectic group of individuals that refer to Jordan as their blood-related, adopted and chosen family. He showed us how to open our hearts and love regardless of relation. Let his memory remind us all that no matter what has happened in your past, today is a new day, and another chance to make amends, get it right, and be whoever you want to be in this life.

A private family service will be held in Las Vegas on Friday May 20th, 2022. If you would like to be notified about upcoming Celebration of Life Events held in Jordan's honor in both Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, please reach out to Jordan's sister Karen at [email protected].

In lieu of sending flowers to the mortuary, please send them to someone in your life who you have wronged or someone who you love immensely and remind them how much you do. XOXOXOXOXO

I could answer all of these and more. Jordan was a character and I loved every bit of him. He could anger me like no other, make me see red and I loved him regardless. He could absolutely talk his way out of and around anything. He'd have me believing I did something wrong knowing it was him. That was my Jordan. Mister Persuasive. But he made me smile and laugh at the most inappropriate times, which made it all the more funny. I couldn't stay angry with him for long. My first memory of Jordan was when my dad passed and I was sitting alone kinda in my feelings, and this guy comes walking up, plops down next to me and asks "What's wrong beautiful? You're too pretty to have such a sad face." and he put his arm around me and that was all it took. I cried all over the place for a good hour or more and he sat right there and let me. We were friends from that day on. We attempted a relationship once or a hundred times but two stubborn souls can't out stubborn each other and we just ended up loving each other from a distance. We had many many good times together, I have so many memories with him. I'll never forget you Jordan. You made me whole again when I was falling apart. You helped heal my heart and I'll forever be grateful to you for loving me. Thank you for teaching me what true love really is. RIP my friend. I will miss you.

Jordan and I met when I was still a kid. We were both kids basically and I will never forget the moments he made me laugh and even if I got mad at him it was very short fused... he alway made me see his reasons as reasonable for what he had done that made me mad. Always a jokester always smiling and I will cherish every memory I have of him. Rest in peace Jordan, until we meet again my friend!!!
