Jordan Durden Obituary
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold E. "Skippy" White of Tuscaloosa and John W. Durden, Sr. of Monroeville.
Survivors include his mother, Glenda White Durden of Tuscaloosa; his father, Lee Wilson Durden of Tuscaloosa; his sister, Candace Paige Durden of Tuscaloosa; his "MiMi", JoAnn White of Tuscaloosa; his "Nanny Lee", Lebron W. Durden of Monroeville; his step-grandmother, Marcia Durden of Jackson; and a host of family and friends.
Jordan loved being outdoors, riding four-wheelers, fishing, hunting, and most of all, Alabama football. His life revolved around his family and friends. He was the best son in the world! He loved his mom, dad, sister, and "MiMi". If you ever needed help, Jordan was there. One of Jordan's biggest concerns was taking care of his family and his little sister, Candace. We will all miss him dearly. His life was cut short, but was full of great accomplishments. He graduated in 2006 from Hillcrest High School. He continued his education at ITT Tech where he graduated at the top of his class with honors in 2009. Jordan will always be remembered for being tenderhearted and caring.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Jones, Brett Jones, Casey Jones, Lee W. Durden, Garrett Chandler, Korey Ryan, Wesley Hurst, and Chase Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Walter Resources #4 Mine employees, Alabama One Credit Union employees, AT&T employees, Hillcrest High School Class of 2006, ITT Tech Class of 2009, employees of Food Word Hwy. 69 South, Dr. Larry Skelton and staff of Moundville Medical Clinic, Andy, Laura, and Stella Daffron, Virginia Essary, and Kyle Fikes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jordan Lee Durden Memorial Fund at Alabama One Credit Union.
Condolences may be offered at www.memorychapelfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements under the direction of Memory Chapel Funeral Home, Tuscaloosa, AL.

I know there are so many unanswered questions going through your mind but please don't dwell on these questions. The answer may not ever come. I was heart broken when I saw Jordan's picture in the obituaries yesterday. Althought I haven't seen him since his and Richard's days at Crestmont, I reconized his sweet face immediately. I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan last week when he was at my home installing U-Verse. Due to a technical problem he was here almost all day. I can't explain it very well, but it was almost like a friend was over to visit. He was a very pleasant well-mannered young man. When I saw his picture and obituary in the paper it really hurt my heart. I don't know what happened, but i know that God is in control. My prayers are with his family because if he can touch the heart of a stranger, how incredible must the hurt be that his family feels. God bless you.
