Jordana Eleonora "Lilly" Seligmann

March 30, 1963 – July 7, 2025

Jordana Eleonora Seligmann, lovingly known as Lilly to many family and friends, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Miami, Florida at 62 years old.

Born on March 30, 1963, in Bogotá, Colombia, to Kurt and Julieta Seligmann, Jordana moved to Miami with her family when she was just 19 months old. It became the place she always returned to, even as she spent her life exploring the world.

Born into a family of world travelers and fearless in her own right, Jordana took every opportunity to feed her adventurous spirit. She taught herself Italian on a plane to Italy, mastered five languages, and felt a special calling to take a life-changing trip to Africa. In Greece, she unexpectedly found herself working as a stunt driver on the set of Summer Lovers (1984)-just one of many adventures she embraced without hesitation. Her work also took her to Japan, where she traveled as the wardrobe manager for rock artist Michael Monroe and his band, Hanoi Rocks.

Jordana moved to New York to work in commercial and music video production, right as rap music was beginning to rise, and 1980s post-punk and new wave were at their peak. She was right there in the middle of it-often on set with artists who would go on to shape a generation. But she wasn't just behind the scenes-she wrote and recorded an entire album of her own music. Writing came naturally to her. She created a sound that was ahead of its time and unmistakably hers.

After the passing of her mother, Jordana stepped in to take over her father's business, Associate Interpreters. She became the president of the company and ran it with care and dedication-all while raising three children.

Jordana was a fiercely protective and loving mother to her children. Her creativity and humor shaped their world-she wrote songs and stories just for them, filled with imagination and warmth. She knew the name of every plant and animal, and made sure her kids did too, passing along her love for nature and the ocean. She went above and beyond for every holiday, turning even the smallest moments into something special. She cared not only for her family, but for her neighbors as well, always extending kindness outward. And more than anything, she built a unique bond with each of her children-nurturing who they were, and helping them grow into themselves with love, strength, and playfulness.

She is survived by her beloved children, Darla, Darian, and Darson Pace, and her brother Paul Seligmann, along with the many people whose lives she brightened with her infinite kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

True to the beautiful words expressed here, Jordana was always kind and generous toward me and my family, whether it was hosting me in NYC for a weekend or giving me a copy of The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Her smile and laughter were comforting, and I appreciated the message and the melody of her song, "The Time Is Now." I can still hear it in my mind all these years later and am grateful she planted seeds of mindfulness when I was making a lot of mindless choices. My condolences and blessings of peace to everyone who loved her.
