It seems like childhood lasted forever. I was lucky enough to spend mine with Jordie. Of all the hours spent playing soccer and hockey with him, I don't recall ever beating him. It was more important to us that we had fun and laughed regardless of what we were doing.

Thank you Jordie for filling my childhood with happy memories. Because of you, those years were some of the best of my life.

It is with great sadness I learn of the passing of one of the funniest guys I know. From running around on the field at Centennial or playing soccer with him, all the way up to Junior High and more. I'll always remember his super smile. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Take care good buddy.

-Jordie's song

December 10, 2005

You hear people talk about the twinkle of his eyes,

the smile he gave,

i remember when he first started to shave,

He loved people and he loved to laugh,

i remember when he gave me winning lottery tickets for gas,

when you were with him time did time did not exist

there was this sense of charm that you could not resist,

i wonder to myself how his life could end the way it did,

he was just a kid

he took a differnt road than most would take

while most of the world

complains that they can't get a break

Maybe God choose him now

Cause his earth was hell

it's hard to tell,

maybe i will die before i'm Forty

all i know is Heaven can use a guy like Jordie

Growing up on Gariepy, Jordie always was the nicest guy on the block. I remember him walking me to school sometimes, and how he would always take the time to say hi whenever he saw me. Later, I developed a huge crush on Jordie.

The last time I saw him was right before my family and I moved to Omaha. It was such a shock to hear what happened, and my heart goes out to the family.

It seems like yesterday when i picked Jordie up for high school, Jordie was a guy that always put others ahead of himself, i don't ever recall seeing Jordie in a bad mood, Jordie lit up the room when he walked in and when he walked out it went dim again, you always wondered what funny cool thing he would do next! Jordie Made life fun, the good Lord put him here to impact peoples lives and he made a huge impact on my life. Thank you jordie!in memory of you:"Dream as if you will live forever, live as though you will die today" -James Dean....Jordie Did just that, Much love to you and your Family, See you Heaven Bro!!

Dear Nancy and Neil,

We were very sorry to hear of the loss of your son, Wee Jordie. It has been a number of years since we saw him walking around the grounds at Ellerslie Highland Games. When our children are that young age we think they are going to grow up and conquer the world. I'm sure he will be sadly missed by a lot of people from all over the world. Take care.

Dearest Family of Jordie,

I KNEW if that boy was at my house when I checked the shoes in the morning; there were a lot of late night sleepovers. I welcomed them.

One time I found out he'd been there on Greg's bedroom floor for a couple of weeks before I asked if maybe we should bring him up a camping foamie to sleep on.. how versitile they were. My only rule was that if you stay here you have to tell your Mom. His manners, his respect, his charm, his creativity..I loved them all. I will never think of Jordie as anything but a beautiful, talented, loyal friend to all. I know that he is in the best place he can be and I promise you folks when we get to where he is we'll recognize that cocky little Angel immediately and boy will that make it better for us all. Love you forever Jordie, Greg's Mom Lynn
