Today is quite a somber day, Jordyn. I am beyond sorry that you lost your life too soon 2 years ago on the Strip.

To Jordyns mother and father, Im deeply sorry for your loss. Honestly, no parent should ever lose their son or daughter at a pretty young age. She wouldve had a wonderful life ahead of her.

My condolences to the Rivera Family. I wanted to reach out and and highly recommend the Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Grievance class. I lost my 21 year old daughter and I understand the desperate need for help a family goes through in times like this. The class begins with a 1 day seminar Saturday March 10th at 9 a.m. in room W201. It is then followed by an 8 week grievance class on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. This class has helped me in so many ways and I have made friends with others that are going through the same hurt and pain. I just wanted to send you an invitation. May you find strength and hope in God's promises.

I saw Jordyn's name on Facebook today and I'm so sad this happened to her. The 58 random acts of kindness is a great gesture and a fantastic way to remember.

Dear Jordyn's family, I know there is no solace at this time, but I thought you might want to know that I am praying for her and for you. Our church family (St. David's Episcopal in Austin) are now praying individually for each victim of these senseless killings and also as a group for all who have died from mass gun violence this year. It makes me especially sad to have read in her obituary how close she was to finishing college and getting started in life as an adult. Please know that I am here to lend an ear if you need it.
Jordyn's name along with the others will be posted on a large banner that will hang on an outside wall of the church in downtown Austin to bring focus on the issue of gun violence.

Albert and Mary,
May your strength in the word of the Lord continue to guide you through your sorrow. Jordyn is in heaven now and that is because you raised her to be a child of God. May this give you comfort that she is in a better place because of your great parenting. God Bless you all

To the Rivera Family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. As I listen to my sister and brother in law (Erika and Raul Ferrer) speak about Jordyn and her kind spirit with my nephew Joshua, I can only say that Heaven is brighter and Earth got slightly darker when you lost your sunshine. My heart is breaking for you and those who knew Jordyn because I understand there will be an emptiness that no other could fill. She was special, I am praying for the Lord to give you peace amongst this chaos in knowing she is home and you will see her again. God Bless.

Jordyn, we love you & your family so much. The thought of you gone breaks everyone's hearts, but knowing that you are home makes everything a little better for now. I want you to know that we will all be living our lives a little differently from now on, & we'll be spreading your caring & loving personality into our own lives everyday. We love you so much & can't wait to see you again.
