He was preceded in death by his parents, Avelino Clavijo Patino and Carmen Morales Pedrero; his siblings, Alicia Quintero and Carlos "Charlie" Clavijo; and his daughter, Diana Jean Clavijo.
Joe leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Luz Maria Alvarez Pedrero, and children Alexandra (Mark) Skartvedt, Avelino (Melissa) Clavijo, Glenda (Richard) Cardenas, Belinda Montez, Cynthia Montez, and Lawrence (Evelyn) Montez, He was also a proud grandfather to Katherine, Megan, Lauren, and Garren Skartvedt, Aleah, Amarah, and Gianna Clavijo, many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe was a stepfather to Amelia (Reginald) Polk.
Joe was a respected businessman who owned and operated Joe's Plumbing and Heating for 40 years. His work ethic and integrity were well-known in the community, and his business thrived through his commitment to service and excellence.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's memory can be made to St. Rose of Lima in Chula Vista, CA. Joe's life was marked by his family, his business, and his faith, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
