Jose Font Obituary
JOSE MARIA FONT January 1st, 1927 - January 16th, 2007 Mr. Font was born January 1st, 1927, in Barcelona, Spain. It is with great sadness that we announce his peaceful death on January 16th, 2007, surrounded by his devoted wife and children. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Maria Asuncion, daughters Maria, Carmen, Ana Maria, Martita and Isabel, and son Jose. He will remain forever in our hearts. He was a religious man who dedicated his life to his family. His values, principles and pursuit of perfection were an inspiration to everyone who knew him around the world. Prayers will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 2007, at 7.00 pm at Saint's Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1430 West 38th Avenue (between Granville and Cartier) in Vancouver, where the funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Jose Maria Font to the Canadian Diabetes Association. The Font family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Palliative Care Unit at Vancouver General Hospital.

Dear Mrs Font, Carmen, Maria, Anna-Maria, Martita, Isobel and Jose,
I was sad to hear of Mr. Font's death. My condolences are extended to you all. I have fond memories of our time togeather, especially our discussion of the human spirit and his quest for "the truth" at all times. He has left a positive impression on my life.
