Jose Leal Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 28, 2014.
Jose Cabrera Leal was born on June 20, 1935 in San Juan, Texas to Jose Leal and Maria Cabrera. He met Locadia Flores and they married in Oklahoma in 1955. In order to provide for his growing family, he worked very hard as a contractor. He worked in residential construction as well as enjoyed "flipping" houses. Jose was mostly known to his family as "Bebe". He was a very patient man who always put others ahead of himself. Always offering to help out strangers or anyone in need. He was a wonderful provider to his family and took good care of them. Even during his final days here on Earth, he was concerned about his wife and kids being taken care of over himself. He enjoyed being with his kids and grandkids, but his heart was full of love and passion for his wife of 59 years. They enjoyed going to the casinos together, or watching TV. together. He enjoyed sitting with her in the mornings to have coffee and breakfast. Bebe loved Locadia's cooking. Even in the end, he wanted her to sneak him some of her "frijoles" to eat. One of their favorite, simple things to do was to just enjoy each other's company, holding hands. He was a very special man…the most wonderful husband, father, and grandfather his family could ever ask for, and he will be missed tremendously. On Monday, April 28, 2014, Jose C. Leal was called Home. He was greeted in Heaven by many family members who have preceded him. His life and legacy will continue to be remembered and celebrated by his wife, Locadia Leal; his children: Jose Leal and his wife Kristin, Irene and Roy Torres, Ramiro Leal and his wife Balvina, Rachel Laverty and her husband Scott Boeder, Robert Leal, Rene Leal, and Roland Leal and his wife Carol; his 16 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Andrea Cantu, Paula Tanguma and Agapito Leal; and numerous family and friends.
