Jose Ricardo "Rick" Rodriguez

Rick Rodriguez, 65, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on January 8, 2024, in Orange TX. He was born on July 16, 1958. Rick was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His wife, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and his children, Samantha, Matthew, Joseph, Jose Angel, Roxanne, and stepchildren Jennifer and Jessica, survive him. He also leaves behind his sisters, Hermina Pharr and Maya Rodriguez, and his brother, Leo Rodriguez. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Rosario and Jesus Rodriguez.

Rick had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. He was unapologetically politically incorrect and had a knack for saying inappropriate things. However, his jokes were always lighthearted, and he brought laughter to those around him. Rick loved his family, including his pit bulls, with all his heart. He cherished his 30-year marriage to his beloved wife, Elizabeth, and together, they traveled the roads as he pursued his career in the trucking industry. Rick enjoyed the freedom of the open road and the companionship of his wife by his side.

When Rick wasn't on the road, he enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He had a passion for fishing, going to the beach, and indulging in fast cars and motorcycles. Rick had an affinity for classic rock and roll and Tejano music, which always brought a smile to his face.

After a fulfilling career as a truck driver from 2000 to 2023, Rick's ashes will be scattered at his favorite beach in Surfside, TX, in a private celebration of his life. His wishes of being cremated will be honored.

Rick Rodriguez will be remembered for his lively spirit, his love for his family and friends, and his dedication to his career. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.
